Stage

Stage Type: Apron
Stage Floor: Duratex, 4' x 8' sheets painted black. Limited screwing or nailing will be allowed with permission from the theatre technician. Painting of the stage floor may be allowed with permission of the theatre technician.

Orchestra Pit

13 pieces removable stage floor – depth of pit from stage 4' 10" The apron can be dropped to floor level to create a dance floor area or space for additional seating. It can also be removed entirely for use as an orchestra pit or configured in various combinations.

Alterations to the Apron require at least 7 days notice and may cost an additional fee.

Stage Equipment

UpRight UL 25' man lift.
This unit is shared with other city departments, may not always be available.

16' A-frame on 4 wheeled cart. Various size step ladders, one extension ladder.

Risers:
8 x Wenger 4' x 8' black top

Projection system consisting of two 5000 lumen projectors with screens mounted on the stage baffles, three cameras, and a video switching station may be available at an additional cost.

Wardrobe Room

The wardrobe room contains a washer and dryer machine, as well as an ironing board and iron.

Green Room

The Green room is newly renovated and comfortably large room with a bar/sink/fridge/microwave/TV/stereo and meet and greet facilities. It is adjacent to the upper level dressing rooms.

Parking

KCT clients have 8 dedicated parking spots that come with the building. They are located by loading bay and stage door, and identified by yellow lines. Parking passes will be issued upon your arrival at the theatre. We also have space for one or two semi-trailers or buses outside of the loading bay doors, but this may interfere with the available parking.

For additional parking the downtown parking arcade is located adjacent to KCT.

Loading Bay

Loading bay: approximately 45' wide by 27' deep, and 30' tall.
Door size: 9'9" W x 9'9" H

There is a slight incline from the outside parking area to loading bay doors, no steps. The loading bay leads directly onto stage and is separated by a second bay door. If your truck is carrying large or heavy pieces we recommend that it is outfitted with a ramp or lift gate.

Rehersal Hall / Black Box Theatre

A 1200 sq. ft. multi – purpose room that can be used as a smaller "blackbox" theatre space, or for rehearsals, meetings, or other functions.

Full occupancy for this room is 110 people. It has two toilets and a bar/sink area.

The rehearsal hall has its own exterior access doors as well as interior doors leading to the main theatre. The rehearsal hall is booked separately from the main theatre so please inquire when booking the theatre if you require the hall as well.
